Dunlop expands Qualifier Core tire portfolio
To ensure suitable fitment across a wider range of motorcycles, Dunlop has expanded its Dunlop Qualifier Core range.
Drawing on experience from the Isle of Man TT and from racing in world championships, Dunlop’s Qualifier Core benefits from improved wet and handling attributes compared to the previous iteration, the Qualifier II. Grip is further enhanced by the company’s silica-enhanced compound. Other modern Dunlop technologies including the Dynamic Front Formula, Carcass Tension Control System and a Jointless Belt provide a higher level of handling and stability for riders.
Following the expansion of the range, the Qualifier Core hypersport tire will now be available in a new 120/60ZR17 front size and three new rear sizes consisting of a 190/50ZR17, 190/55ZR17 and a 200/50ZR17.
Launched initially earlier in 2022, the tire has been developed for application to entry-level and mid-range nakeds, previous-generation sports bikes, mid-size roadsters and sports tourers.
“Through the two front and five rear sizes now available, Qualifier Core is suitable for a wide range of sports and naked bikes, plus roadsters and sport tourers,” commented Dmitri Talboom, product manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe. “In particular, its lower price point ensures it is an ideal choice for occasional riders and those with previous-gen bikes, giving them our latest race-inspired technology in an affordable package.”
The latest sizes join the original fitment line up of the 160/60ZR17 and 180/55ZR17 rear sizes and the 120/70ZR17 front size.
